{"id":22889,"date":"2019-02-04T09:37:19","date_gmt":"2019-02-04T08:37:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.penamontanesa.com\/activities\/excursions-from-the-campsite\/castillo-de-samitier\/"},"modified":"2019-03-13T11:43:10","modified_gmt":"2019-03-13T10:43:10","slug":"castillo-de-samitier","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.penamontanesa.com\/en\/activities\/excursions-from-the-campsite\/castillo-de-samitier\/","title":{"rendered":"Castle of Samitier"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Entertaining and easy ride made mostly of track to the military religious S.XI assembly formed by a defensive tower known like Samitier Castle and Romanesque chapel dedicated to Saints Emeterio and Celedonio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These fortifications are located on the top of a promontory that enjoys magnificent views of the Embalse de Mediano and the Pe\u00f1a Monta\u00f1esa in the foreground, with the Pyrenees in the background where the massifs of Monte Perdido and Cotiella stand out among others.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At our feet runs the Cinca River that in a narrow and vertical gorge known as the Entremon Straits connects the reservoirs of Mediano and El Grado. In the middle of the ascension route we will find the Gothic Hermitage of N\u00aa S\u00aa de Waldesca, dating from the S.XVI.
